Discover Your Ideal Diet

Paul Jensen

Our bodies require fuel to sustain life, and the old adage still holds true, “You are what you eat.”. What do you think the body uses to make new cells, tissues, glands, organs, bones, muscles and skin?

The raw materials we extract from foods we eat help to construct our bodies. Consider this analogy: If you build a picnic table out of scrap lumber, cheap paint and rusted bolts you will get a picnic table that is not very aesthetic, sturdy, functional, or durable. However, if you use the best quality materials available your picnic table will look good and serve its purpose for a long time.

The same holds true in our bodies.  We can only be as good as the foods we eat because food provides us with vital nutrients we need to heal our bodies and grow. Therefore, if we do not eat high quality organic proteins, fats and carbohydrates, and choose to eat mostly low quality foods, we will not look good, function well, or live a long healthy life.

Having spent my entire career helping people improve their body through lifestyle, diet and exercise, I can assure you that people with poor diets do not respond well to exercise and have a hard time achieving their training goals.  For example, I have worked with athletes and clients who believed they were eating the right diet, but to their dismay, had frequent headaches, excess body fat, and lacked energy and motivation.  They were following many of the heavily marketed diets claiming to have the “answer” to achieving their goals.  Yet they could never reach their goals on these diets.  There are tens of thousands of people just like my clients that have tried one or many of these diets and achieved zero results, or even became worse!

The problem with the diets is that they follow a “one size fits all” approach.  These diets are marketed saying that everyone should eat one way.  Is that logical?  Let’s say I am an Eskimo and you’re a Quetious Indian of South America.  I would be eating a diet Eskimos thrive on, lots of protein & fat (9).  In contrast, being a Quetious Indian, you would thrive on lots of carbohydrates in your diet (1).

We eat very differently because we are living in different environments and are surviving on the foods that are plentiful.  Research has shown that if you extradite a person from their natural environment, forcing them to eat differently, they develop chronic illness and disease that shortens their life (2).

An effective diet has to include high quality organic proteins, fats and carbohydrates and be customized to each individual’s specific genetic traits (2).  This understandable, logical approach to diet is called metabolic typing (2). The diet takes into consideration key factors such as racial/ ethnic background, biochemical individuality, blood type, western philosophy, eastern philosophy, and more.

When combining metabolic typing with optimal posture, hydration, sleep and breathing many of my clients have had spontaneous resolution of their problems, have responded better to exercise and have improved their performance at work or in sports.  Providing your body with optimal nutrients and clean water intake may help your body heal itself!
